The generated PDF is a fixed page rendering of readable MOBI content. DRM, protected ebooks and complex reader-specific behavior are not supported.

This MOBI to PDF converter turns a readable, DRM-free MOBI ebook into fixed PDF pages in your browser. It extracts chapters, available images, the table of contents and metadata, then lets you choose paper and reading settings before reviewing and downloading the result.

MOBI is an ebook container rather than a fixed paper layout. A reader can reflow its text for different screens, while a PDF needs a paper size, margins, line height and page breaks. Converting MOBI to PDF is therefore a layout decision, not just a file-extension change. This page shows the planned pages and the actual generated PDF so you can judge that decision before saving the file.

How to convert MOBI to PDF

  1. Choose one .mobi file. The browser workflow accepts a file up to 100 MB. Use a file you are authorized to convert and do not expect DRM removal.
  2. Wait for the ebook inspection. The parser reads the book structure and prepares chapter HTML, available stylesheets, resources and metadata.
  3. Check the book summary. Review the title, author, chapter count, word count, table-of-contents count and cover when those signals are available.
  4. Choose the PDF page. Select A4, US Letter or US Legal, Portrait or Landscape, and Narrow, Normal or Wide margins.
  5. Adjust the reading settings. Base font size, line spacing and rendering detail affect wrapping, page count and output size.
  6. Inspect the thumbnails. Look for missing images, awkward page breaks, very wide tables and text that is too small before creating the final PDF.
  7. Create and review the PDF. The result panel uses the generated PDF for its preview and reports the source, output and layout details.
  8. Download the file. Use the one-click download button after confirming the title, page count and filename.

Changing the source or a page setting clears the previous result. This keeps the download connected to the settings currently visible in the tool.

What this MOBI converter reads

The page uses a browser-compatible MOBI/KF8 parser to read supported ebook structures. In a readable file, the parser can expose chapter HTML, CSS resources, internal images, cover data, metadata and a table of contents. The PDF renderer then sanitizes active HTML content and lays the readable content into a controlled page container.

The actual result depends on the source file. A simple text-first MOBI may convert cleanly. A book with custom fonts, complex reader-specific markup, fixed-layout regions, unusual resources or unsupported compression may need a dedicated desktop ebook workflow instead.

The converter reports useful signals rather than pretending that every ebook feature survived:

  • Chapters and words show how much readable content was loaded;
  • Contents items show whether a navigable table of contents was found;
  • Images and stylesheets indicate resources the parser exposed to the browser;
  • Language, author and title come from available ebook metadata;
  • Thumbnails and the final PDF are the practical authority for visual quality.

The source MOBI is not edited. The browser creates a new PDF from the parsed representation. This is why the original ebook remains unchanged and why a conversion result can differ from an app's proprietary reader view.

Choose page and reading settings

MOBI has no single correct PDF paper size. Use the setting that matches the way the PDF will be read or printed.

SettingPractical use
A4Reports and documents shared internationally
US LetterOffice and home printing in the United States
US LegalTaller reference pages and long forms
PortraitProse, novels and narrow reading columns
LandscapeWide tables, diagrams or source content with long lines
Narrow marginsMore words per page and fewer page breaks
Wide marginsMore whitespace for notes and comfortable print framing

The base font size affects normal text and the relative size of headings, lists and tables. Start with 12 px for general prose. Try 14 or 16 px when the PDF will be read on screen. Smaller sizes can reduce page count, but a shorter PDF is not automatically easier to read.

Line spacing changes the rhythm of paragraphs and lists. Comfortable is a useful default for novels and long-form text. Compact can reduce page count for reference material. Relaxed can help when the source has dense prose or short paragraphs.

Rendering detail changes the pixel width used while each page is captured. High resolution is the practical default. Standard can reduce memory use and output size. Print detail may make small text and diagrams clearer, but it can create a larger PDF and ask more of the browser.

Check chapters, images and metadata

Before converting, compare the visible title and author with the book you intended to open. If the title is missing, set a PDF title manually in the right-hand panel. The metadata report is a helpful signal, not proof that every original ebook property was retained.

Check the first chapter, a middle chapter and the final chapter in the planned thumbnails. This catches common problems such as:

  • a missing chapter boundary;
  • an image that the browser could not load;
  • a custom font falling back to a system font;
  • a long link or table extending beyond the printable width;
  • a reader-only control appearing as ordinary page content;
  • a fixed-layout section reflowing differently from the source reader.

Images are included when the parser exposes a readable embedded resource and the browser can draw it into the render canvas. Remote network resources, DRM-protected assets and reader behavior are not guaranteed. If an image is important, verify it in the generated PDF rather than relying on the image count alone.

The table of contents is used as a diagnostic signal. The current PDF is a visual document and does not promise PDF bookmarks or a generated clickable outline. When navigation matters, keep visible chapter headings in the source and check that they appear in the output.

Review the generated PDF

The page preview is intentionally part of the workflow. Read the generated PDF at normal zoom and check:

  • the first page and the final page;
  • chapter headings and paragraph order;
  • image sharpness and image placement;
  • table and list wrapping;
  • CJK, accented and non-Latin characters;
  • headers, footers or reader-specific markup;
  • page count and the selected paper orientation.

The result report records the MOBI source size, PDF size, chapters, words, images, tables, stylesheets, paper, orientation, margins and rendering detail. These are observable conversion details. They do not measure literary content quality, accessibility or exact fidelity to a proprietary ebook reader.

DRM and format limits

This tool does not bypass, remove or defeat DRM. DRM-protected Kindle books can contain encrypted content that a generic browser parser cannot legally or reliably read. Use the authorized application or service that has access to the book and export it through its supported workflow.

Some MOBI files use compression, indexing or fixed-layout features that are not covered by the current browser parser. A failure can also mean that the file is damaged, incomplete, password protected or not actually a MOBI package despite its extension. The error message may recommend a desktop ebook application because that is the honest next step when the browser cannot interpret the source.

The generated PDF is a fixed page rendering. It does not promise a selectable text layer, PDF bookmarks, editable ebook objects, a preserved Kindle reading system, DRM metadata, embedded fonts, accessibility tags or exact CSS behavior. If those requirements are essential, use a dedicated publishing or ebook conversion pipeline and validate the resulting PDF separately.

Official Kindle and ebook alternatives

Amazon's current Kindle publishing file guidance lists EPUB, DOCX and KPF among supported publishing workflows and explains that MOBI is no longer the preferred upload format for new Kindle ebooks. That does not make existing MOBI files unusable; it means MOBI to PDF converter is mainly a migration and recovery task for older files.

Use this base97 tool when you have an authorized, readable MOBI file and want a quick local PDF with visible layout checks. Use the book's original publisher, Kindle app or an authorized desktop ebook tool when the file is protected, the source must be freshly re-rendered, or the output needs exact publishing semantics.

Do not confuse MOBI to PDF online free with a promise to convert any Kindle purchase. The file's DRM, format variant and rights determine what can be processed. A converter should say that before upload, not after generating an incomplete document.

Illustrative MOBI to PDF examples

A text-first novel

Assume an authorized MOBI novel contains chapter headings, ordinary paragraphs and a readable table of contents. Use A4 or US Letter Portrait, Normal margins, 12 px text and Comfortable line spacing. Check several chapter starts and the final page before download.

A technical ebook with wide tables

Assume a technical MOBI contains diagrams and wide examples. Start with Landscape, Narrow margins and High resolution. If a table still wraps poorly, the source may need a dedicated ebook or publishing workflow rather than more aggressive shrinking.

A protected Kindle file

Assume the file came from a store and the parser cannot read it. Do not attempt to bypass protection. Open it in an authorized app and use an official export or obtain an unprotected copy you are permitted to convert.

Illustrative examples. Page count, font fallback, image loading, output size and conversion time depend on the MOBI file, browser and selected settings.

Common questions

Is this a free MOBI to PDF converter without a watermark?

Yes. The tool does not add a base97 watermark. It still requires a readable, DRM-free MOBI file and does not promise exact Kindle-reader layout.

Can I convert a Kindle book to PDF?

Only when you have an authorized, readable MOBI file without DRM that the browser parser supports. The tool does not remove DRM from purchased or protected books.

Does the PDF keep the original cover?

The parser can expose a cover when the MOBI includes a readable cover resource. Whether it appears in the page flow depends on the ebook's chapter markup, so check the generated preview.

Why did the page count change from my ebook reader?

MOBI is reflowable. The PDF uses your selected paper, margins, font size and line spacing, so its page count will normally differ from a reader's screen-based pagination.
